El “SCAM” ya se está tomando, entre los españoles, a sus primeras víctimas. El scam se trata de una técnica hibrída entre el phishing y las pirámides de valor. La red de estafadores se nutre de usuarios de chats, foros, correos electrónicos, y en este caso, lo ilustro con un ejemplo que me ha pasado a mi, con la intención de que podais encontrar esta información si os ocurriera a vosotros.
Se trata de scam utilizando los datos del whois de dominios en venta y el estafador en cuestión es EliteInvestment.net.
Os reproduzco la actividad y el cruce de correos:

Ante este correo, lo normal es que tratándose de un dominio de 2ª categoría, se te hagan los ojos chiribitas y vayas directo a pagar los 60€ que cuesta la evaluación del dominio. Y es precisamente ahí donde está el truco.
Nos extrañó por un lado que tuviera prisa en una negociación… y por otro lado, ¿qué clase de energúmeno no mira si por lo que está dispuesto a pagar 25.000$ está desarrollado o no?
Juegan con la impulsividad humana a la hora de recibir una cuantiosa suma de dinero y por seguro que más de uno y de dos caigan en la trampa. Podemos pensar que se trata de alguien sin conocimiento a quien podemos meter un gol y resulta que lo que acaba pasando es que te lo metes en propia puerta.
La verdad es que la técnica es muy elaborada, acompaña el mail de un foro en el que se representa alguna venta anterior, cuentan con página web propia de empresa de compraventa de dominios, y en general está muy currado, dando incluso diversas posibilidades para la transacción económica. Lo mejor de todo es que incluso utiliza el nombre de un jugador de baseball americano, para que si lo buscas en google y alguien ha publicado la estafa ya, los resultados de google no saquen esta página entre los primeros resultados de búsqueda.
La verdad es que ingenio no les falta a estos estafadores. Además según he visto el tío en cuestión cada x, cambia de nombre.
Lo que ocurre es que si investigas por ahí, te encuentras con cosas como esta.
Así que nada, aqui os dejo la versión española de la estafa de EliteInvestment.net y cuidado con las valoraciones por parte de EasyNameSale.com, estafadores también.

Acabo de leer tu post y también a mi me sucedió lo mismo hace 1 año atrás, que querían comprar mi dominio por 12,000 euros.
Pero la empresa era otra, gracias a unos domainers pude saber que era una estafa.

hace dos días puse en venta un proyecto en Sedo, y hoy he recibido un mail de esta empresa interesada en la compra: y es Eliteinvestmentnet. Todo contento, me he puesto a investigar qué tipo de empresa estaba detrás de esto y… sorpresa, he llegado a tu post.

Hola hemos recibido este email y como todos vosotros, antes de vender queríamos saber quien es el posible comprador. Por cierto, veo que los nombres de los directivos y/o cargos van cambiando y además el nombre de la empresa va variando desde Elite Invest Gmbh, pasando por Elite Network, Elite Capital Investment Group, etc. No obstante la dirección de correo por lo que he visto siempre es la misma:……..@eliteinvestment.net.

A mi también me han enviado un email idéntico tras añadir un dominio a Sedo. Le contesté que si quería comprarlo que lo hiciera desde Sedo y no me han vuelto a contestar.
